Grant Cherkas, P.Eng., CEO, Prairie Nuclear Consulting Inc.
Grant Cherkas, P.Eng., has over 30 years of international leadership advancing nuclear safety, engineering, licensing, regulatory affairs, management systems, and organizational excellence. He is the CEO and Founder of Prairie Nuclear Consulting Inc.
Grant has held senior roles with Westinghouse Electric Canada as their VP of Market Development and Chief Engineer, SRC Nuclear Inc. as their Chief Nuclear Officer, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission staff member, and senior management positions with Ontario Power Generation.
He has contributed to global nuclear initiatives through the NEA, OECD, and CONEXUS, and has served on multiple CSA nuclear standards committees. As chair and technical lead, he has helped shape safety codes for small modular reactors, supporting the development of the next generation of nuclear technology.
